The season of the Helleborus, also known as the Christmas Rose, has begun!
One of the first varieties currently available is the Helleborus niger ‘Christmas Carol’. This Helleborus is a perennial plant that originates from the mountains of the eastern Alps and is known for its large white flowers and evergreen foliage.
This Helleborus is one of the few garden plants that adds extra color to gardens and terraces from October through the following winter months, as this is when it is at its most beautiful. You could say that this Helleborus is truly a white pearl in the autumn season.
In terms of use, you can advise customers in your store that the Helleborus offers many possibilities. Smaller and more compact forms are often used as table decorations in pots, bowls, or arrangements on the terrace table, while slightly larger forms are ideal in baskets or terrace pots for the veranda or terrace, and the larger varieties are perfect for garden borders. Although Helleborus has historically been associated with the Christmas season, the ‘Christmas Carol’ is particularly popular because it displays its beautiful white flowers well before the holiday season.
