Kalanchoe, surprisingly outdoors!

Inspire the customers in your store to use the Kalanchoe outside on the balcony or terrace. The Kalanchoe can be used in terrace pots, balcony boxes, as well as in the open ground from mid-May. A beautiful addition to the assortment of balcony and terrace plants during the summer months!

A Kalanchoe is a succulent that belongs to the Crassulaceae family. These are also succulents, plants often recognized by their fleshy leaves or stems, usually with juicy, thick leaves. Kalanchoes naturally grow in grasslands and steppes in Asia, Africa, and India. Due to this origin, the Kalanchoe thrives in a bright, preferably sunny location.

When used outdoors, the Kalanchoe blooms even more richly and abundantly than indoors. In fact, the growers of outdoor Kalanchoes even provide a 100-day flowering guarantee to the consumer. This is, of course, a clear and strong selling point from your green specialty store to the consumer, so be sure to use this in your advice.

Another selling point to the consumer is the ease of maintenance; moderately moist soil is sufficient, as these colorful plants are not very fond of too much water. Also, picking off spent flowers is not necessary with the Kalanchoe. The plants can remain outside from mid-May until the first frost period in autumn.

If you want to know more about the possible uses of the Kalanchoe as an outdoor plant, take a look at the Kalanchoe.nl website. On this website, you can also see the breeders and growers specializing in the cultivation of the Kalanchoe Garden.
