As a florist, garden center, DIY store, or home furnishings store, you are familiar with various forms and sizes of potted Chrysanthemums. Year-round as a houseplant, from spring for balconies and terraces, and from summer as bulbous Chrysanthemums … just a few moments when we see potted Chrysanthemums as a staple in green specialty stores on their way to the consumer.
In the spring of 2024, we see a very charming novelty becoming available from breeder Royal Van Zanten in collaboration with nursery SV.CO … the Chrysanthemum Jellyfish®. The flower shape is the inspiration for the name Jellyfish®. The small, cute pompom flowers have the same shape as little jellyfish.
If the consumer asks how they can enjoy this cheerful Chrysanthemum for the longest time, these are the main tips you can give:
– The Jellyfish® can be placed both indoors and outdoors (5-25°C).
– The Jellyfish® needs water about twice a week, more often on a hot summer day than on a cool winter day. It is important that the potting soil does not dry out, but also ensure that the roots are not left standing in water.
– Chrysanthemums generally love the sun and thus stay at their best in a sunny spot in the house or garden.
– Last tip for the green-thumbed plant lover: remove the spent flowers from the plant, so the plant puts its energy into the new flowers.
