We consciously chose this grower because, during a visit to this nursery a few summers ago, we got a behind-the-scenes experience and saw firsthand that this nursery really does everything to harvest the Delphinium at the optimal time for its ornamental value and quality.
At Kwekerij Westendorp, they have developed their own collection by carefully selecting within the Delphinium assortment, paying extra attention to good durability, sturdiness, beautiful stem structure, and beautiful colors. The Delphinium Kissi collection is usually available from Jun to Okt, depending on the weather and the season’s progression, as these beautiful summer flowers grow outdoors in the open field. A characteristic feature is the length of the Delphinium, which can easily reach 120 cm, making it ideal for large floral works, arrangements, and use during events.
For maximum durability, you can give the following tips to the customer in your store:
– Fill a clean vase generously with clean water,
– Cut with a sharp knife to make the smallest possible wound surface (do not cut with scissors),
– Add the correct dosage of flower food to the water and dissolve it well,
– Prevent leaves from getting into the vase water,
– Check the water level daily, refill or change if necessary,
– Avoid drafts and heat sources.
